What exactly is career coaching, and do I really need it?
Think of career coaching as having a seasoned, knowledgeable guide in your corner; someone who has seen the landscape, knows the terrain, and is wholly invested in helping you navigate it. A career coach does not hand you a map and send you off alone. We work through it together.
If you are a student or recent graduate staring out at a sea of possibilities or feeling utterly stuck in front of a blank LinkedIn profile, you probably could use some help. The job market is competitive, the rules change constantly, and nobody teaches you this stuff in class. That is precisely where I come in.
Whom do you work with?
My clients are students, new graduates, and young professionals who are ready to take their careers seriously. Some know exactly what they want but have no idea how to get there. Others are still figuring out what they want, which is also perfectly fine, We start exactly where you are.
If you are eager, open, and willing to do the work, we are going to get along just fine.
What kinds of issues do you help with?
The short answer: whatever is standing between you and the career you want. The longer answer includes:

I just graduated. Is it too early to work with a career coach?
It is never too early. In fact, the earlier you get serious about your career direction, the smoother the path ahead. The habits, tools, and self-awareness you build now will serve you for decades. Consider it an investment in yourself and one with an extraordinary return.
HOW IT WORKS
What does the coaching process look like?
Every client is different, so every coaching engagement is built around you. That said, most clients move through three natural phases:
- Clarity — We figure out who you are, what you want, and what has been getting in your way.
- Strategy — We build a concrete, realistic plan: your resume, your LinkedIn, your target list, your pitch.
- Execution — We go to market together. You apply, you interview, you negotiate — and I am with you every step of the way.
How do sessions work? Are they in person or virtual?
I offer one-on-one sessions, group workshops, and coaching is usually virtual. Our zoom meetings are extremely convenient providing a record of each meeting.
You will find that I am very flexible and can adapt my approach to in person work. So whether you are across town or across the country, we can make it work.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends entirely on where you are starting and where you want to go. Some clients come in for a focused sprint such as a resume overhaul and two sessions of interview prep before a specific opportunity. Others work with me over several weeks as they explore their options, build their skills, and launch their search. We will assess what you need together and design your program accordingly.
Do you offer group workshops?
Yes, the Career Quest Workshop is conducted in a group forum and they are wonderful. There is something genuinely energizing about working through these challenges alongside peers who are in the same boat. Group workshops can also be customized to the group’s needs. Feel free to reach out if you would like to bring a workshop to your campus, organization, or group.
THE WORK
Can you help me figure out what I actually want to do?
Absolutely! Honestly, this is some of the most important work we do. You would be surprised how many intelligent, capable young people arrive at a coach’s door without a clear sense of direction. There is no shame in that. The world hands you a diploma and expects you to know the rest. We will work together to uncover your strengths, clarify your values, and identify the paths that make the most sense for who you actually are.
My resume is a mess. Can you fix it?
Yes. More than that I will teach you how to do it going forward.
A resume is not just a list of what you have done. It is a carefully crafted argument for why you are the right person for the job. We will make sure yours is telling the right story, in the right language, in a format that gets read for the job you are targeting.
We will do the same for your LinkedIn profile, which is every bit as important in today’s market.
Interviews terrify me. Can coaching actually help with that?
It can and it does. Interview anxiety almost always comes from one of two places: not knowing what to expect, or not feeling confident in your answers. We address both. Through preparation, practice, and honest feedback, most clients find that what once felt overwhelming becomes something they can actually look forward to. You have more to offer than you think. Let’s make sure it comes through.
I have been applying everywhere and hearing nothing back. What am I doing wrong?
You may not be doing anything wrong, but you are probably not approaching it strategically. Spraying applications across every job board is exhausting and rarely effective. A targeted job search, grounded in a clear sense of your goals and a thoughtful outreach strategy, changes the equation entirely. We will build that strategy together.

I will also cheer you on at every step, because I know how hard this is and how much it matters. I am not handing you a template and sending you off. We figure this out together.
What do you expect from clients?
Effort and openness. The clients who get the most from coaching come prepared, follow through on what we discuss, and are willing to hear honest feedback and act on it. You do not need to have everything figured out. That is why you are here. But you do need to show up ready to be open to traveling new vistas and doong the work.
